KOKOMO, Ind. - A 12-year-old boy was airlifted to Riley Hospital for Children after being hit by a car Friday morning.
Witnesses told Kokomo police the boy ran into the path of a white Buick LeSabre driven by a 17-year-old girl.
Police said the car was westbound on Columbus Boulevard and turning northbound onto Berkley Road when the boy ran into the car.
The boy suffered injuries to his head, mouth, shoulder and leg, but he was in stable condition Friday afternoon, police said.
The accident is under investigation.
