INDIANAPOLIS - Marian University honored a fallen hero Saturday with a tribute to IMPD Officer Rod Bradway. The university presented the Bradways with a framed jersey, followed by a standing ovation from fans.
Jamie Bradway, Officer Bradway's wife, was too overcome with emotion to speak, and so IMPD Police Chief Rick Hite did the talking for her.
"This is an overwhelming moment because the citizens of this great city have, for a second time, honored them and it's really touched their hearts," Hite said. "As you can see, she's still moved by it."
The Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence also gave Jamie Bradway its "Courage to Make a Difference" award in honor of her husband's work to help victims of domestic violence.
