INDIANAPOLIS - An SUV crashed into a west side home today – the 11th collision in 30 years, according to owners.
Timothy and Leigh McCall say they've lived at their home on South Warman Avenue for three decades. In that time, 11 cars have lost control on the nearby roadway and crashed into their home.
This most recent collision was the worst one yet, they said.
Just before 3:30 p.m., a Chevy Equinox crashed into the home. The driver, a 29-year-old Indianapolis woman, told police she'd lost control and overcorrected after crossing railroad tracks.
The driver was partially ejected through the windshield of her vehicle. She was extricated by Indianapolis firefighters and taken to Eskenazi Hospital, where she was reportedly in good condition with only minor injuries.
Police estimated damage to the house at $10,000.
