INDIANAPOLIS -- Members of the Indiana House voted Tuesday to penalize companies like Carrier that leave the state and move to other countries.

An amendment to Senate Bill 308 would allow local governments to force companies that take jobs to foreign countries to repay property tax incentives.

It would also prevent them from taking any more advantage of tax breaks enacted by the state government.

The bill will now be considered by the full house.
