INDIANAPOLIS - The Circle City Classic kicks into high gear Friday with concerts, parties, parades and a pep rally ahead of the big weekend game.

Event organizers said at least 200,000 college football fans will pack downtown Indianapolis on Saturday to see South Carolina State University take on North Carolina Central University at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The Classic is sponsored by the Indiana Black Expo and the Indiana Sports Corporation.

A free pep rally will be held at White River State Park on Friday featuring charismatic drum lines and dancers from each school, and cheerleaders, said Vernon Williams, IBE spokesman.

"You are going to have the bands. You are going to have the cheerleaders. You are going to have all of the performers. We'll give you a little preview of what is going to happen during halftime on Saturday," Williams said.

On Friday, fans could purchase two tickets for $20, and two for $50 on Saturday.
