City-county government, courts reopen on normal schedule Wednesday

2-hour delay canceled with improved forecast

INDIANAPOLIS - Mayor Greg Ballard announced Tuesday evening that Indianapolis city government offices will reopen on a normal schedule Wednesday.

Ballard made the announcement because of the improving forecasted weather and a reduced risk to the health of employees and visitors, officials said.

Marion County Superior and Circuit courts will also open Wednesday at their normal time.

City-county government offices were previously expected to operate on a two-hour delay Wednesday after they were completely shut down Tuesday.

Almost 100 schools were still planning to open two hours late. Check out the constantly updated list here --
