INDIANAPOLIS - Police detectives teamed up with the City of Indianapolis to serve a temporary restraining order, effectively closing a motorcycle club for the time being, after it became the scene of a homicide last weekend.
Indianapolis police (IMPD) Sgt. Kendale Adams said Wednesday that the club, Capital Punishment (in the 3600 block of East 25th Street), would be temporarily closed.
Last Saturday, Trent Wilson, 47, was shot and killed after a disturbance broke out inside the club, IMPD said.
The city, via the Office of the City Prosecutor, began filing paperwork Monday morning to shut down the bar after learning the social club was not properly registered and alcohol was being served without a license.
At the same location in October of 2011 when the club was called Los Simbas, a man was shot during a fight inside, and fellow patrons left him on the sidewalk outside.
