INDIANAPOLIS -

Indianapolis Colts Head Coach Chuck Pagano’s fight against leukemia has inspired another partnership between the team and Indiana Blood Center.

Pagano was recently diagnosed with Acute promyelocytic leukemia (APML), team officials announced Monday.

From Oct. 9-13, Colts fans may visit any one of nine Indiana Blood Centers to give blood to honor Pagano.

“Our hearts go out to Coach Pagano and his family. Indiana Blood Center locations are open to all Colts fans who want to express their support and make a life-saving impact for patients like the coach throughout Indiana," said Wendy Mehringer, Indiana Blood Center spokeswoman.

Indiana Blood Center will provide cards for donors to write a personal message to Pagano.

“In Honor of Coach Pagano” stickers will also be available to wear, pictures of which they can then share on Facebook and Twitter using a special hashtag: #CHUCKSTRONG. In addition, Colts’ CHUCKSTRONG posters will be available to participants.

Fans interested in donating blood can visit www.donorpoint.org to schedule an appointment at an Indiana Blood Center donor center in Avon, Carmel, Columbus, Fishers, Downtown Indianapolis, Greenwood, Lafayette, Muncie and Terre Haute.
