INDIANAPOLIS -- Colts punter Pat McAfee is sponsoring Indianapolis 500 driver Conor Daly through his new company, ShirtsforAmerica.com.
He made the announcement in a press conference Wednesday morning, in the only way he could announce it.
"Jot this one down in the books," McAfee said. "This morning when I woke up, I had a large piece of apple pie. Conor couldn't do it because he has practice, but I chugged a Budweiser. I took a shower and brushed my teeth with freedom."
His new (3-day-old) company, ShirtsforAmerica.com, will help benefit military families.
The shirts cost $18 to purchase. Of that $18, the company will be making $8, and $4 of that goes to the military family foundations, Wish for Our Heroes and The Pat McAfee Foundation.
