COLUMBUS, Ind. -- A Columbus man was arrested Saturday evening after drawing a gun and saying he was an officer, police say.

Around 11 p.m. Columbus police responded to a disturbance in the 2300 block of Mapleton Street. Police talked to a victim who said he was walking down an alley when Taylor Talkington, 26, confronted him about looking in his garage.

The victim said Talkington drew a gun, identified himself as a police officer and ordered him to get down on his knees with his hands on his head.

Talkington was arrested on preliminary charges of impersonating a public servant.
