FRANKFORT, Ind. – The friends and family of the two girls killed Wednesday night when a vehicle crashed into a home, gathered in Frankfort to remember them.

The prayer vigil honored the lives of 18-year-old Haleigh and her 8-year-old sister Callie Fullerton. The girls were inside of a Clinton County home when a teen driver lost control of her vehicle around 9:30 p.m.

Five people were inside of the vehicle when it crashed and only suffered minor injuries. Haleigh and Callie were crushed to death during the incident, police said.

Many people who attended the vigil watched the two girls grow up. Haleigh was a star athlete and Callie was just weeks away from her 9th birthday.

“Right now my heart says there's no need to get up, but they're in heaven,” said the girls’ grandfather Brad Fullerton

The vehicle went through a ditch and a field before crashing into the house. The driver told police that she was going about 80 miles per hour at the time of the crash.

The 17-year-old driver was placed into custody and faces several charges including reckless driving resulting in death.
