FLORA, Ind. -- Community members are mourning the loss of four sisters killed in a house fire.

People gathered at church Tuesday night to remember the girls, before walking to the sisters' home and laying carnations.

The four sisters, Keyana, 11, Keyara, 8, Kerrielle, 7, and Kionne, 5, were killed when their home on E. Columbia street caught fire early Monday morning.

The children's mother, Gaylin Rose, was injured in the fire and airlifted from the scene.

Annissa Freeman, whose daughter went to school with the girls, said there were lots of hugs and tears at the vigil.

"I don't think there was a dry eye in there. It was very calming, everybody came together. We all held hands," said Freeman.

All four of the girls were part of a cheer group at Champion Force of Indiana.

Their coach, Allie Sheets, said she wanted to do something special - to give her group somewhere to go and express their grief and support for each other. So the group gathered outside the sisters' home on Tuesday evening.

"We're not just a team, we're a family," said Sheets. "We're together every week, sometimes more than that. We build lasting relationships. These girls were a big part of that."

The girls prayed together, shared memories and lit candles in memory of their teammates and friends.
