NOBLESVILLE, Ind. - A Hamilton County doctor has been linked to the deaths of four patients and is accused of over-prescribing pills to many others.
Records in the case were just unsealed and court documents revealed that investigators have linked Dr. Jeffrey Boone, of Noblesville, to the death of four women from June 2009 through October 2012.
Investigators believe that the women were over-prescribed painkillers.
Boone’s office was raided last Tuesday evening by the state’s Medical Fraud Unit and federal agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Boone had been on the radar of regulators since the year 2000.
Investigators were looking into the allegations that Boone traded drugs for sex.
The Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office would not comment on the ongoing investigation.
