INDIANAPOLIS - An Indianapolis man is facing multiple charges after he turned himself in for being the so-called "Craigslist Bandit."
The Indiana State Police said they first started investigating 18-year-old Aaron Noble last summer.
Officers were called to the Indiana State Museum on three separate occasions on reports of theft, officials said.
Police said the victim in each case said they were in contact with the suspect over Craigslist for several weeks, and when they met in person, he would ask to inspect the electronics the victims were attempting to sell.
The suspect would then run off with the item, screaming loudly, into the wooded area behind the Indiana State Museum and the Eiteljorg Museum, police said.
Police said they used seven months of evidence to determine Noble was involved in each case.
He surrendered to police on Friday and now faces charges of theft and possession of stolen property.
Other possible victims or anyone else with information should call police at 317-232-3142.
