BLOOMINGTON -- Credit card skimmers were discovered in pumps at two gas stations in Bloomington and police think there may be more.

An employee at a Circle K gas station called a service technician after noticing a bulb in a pump was dim.

A skimming device was found in that pump and at another Bloomington Circle K.

"They put out a lot of these devices and try to get back what they can, so it wouldn't surprise us if this isn't connected to the incidents in Indianapolis and other central Indiana areas," said Capt. Steve Kellems, Bloomington Police.

Detectives think the two skimmers at Circle K were found before a suspected crime ring had time to download the credit card numbers.

However, some criminals are so sophisticated that they can access the numbers via Bluetooth and don't even have to get out of their car.

Criminals are able to access the pumps with a universal key to plant the skimming devices.
