LAWRENCE, Ind. -- A 21-year-old has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a man last Wednesday in Lawrence.
The shooting happened around 3 a.m., at an apartment in the Landings at 56th. When police arrived, they found Kurt Estes, 43, on the sidewalk with at least one gunshot wound to the head.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police arrested Kaelon Washington in connection with that murder, felony murder and robbery.
Estes' death was the second homicide for Lawrence in 2017, according to police.
