Franklin man arrested after fighting with Bartholomew County deputies

BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. -- A Franklin, Indiana man was arrested after fighting with Bartholomew County deputies over the weekend, police say. 

Deputies were called to the 4000 block of W. 950 N. Saturday night on a report of an unruly man, according to the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Department.

When they arrived, the deputies found two men fighting. One of the men, 22-year-old Seth Hodson, starting becoming aggressive with the deputies as they tried to control the situation. The deputies were not injured in the incident. 

Hodson was taken to Columbus Regional Hospital before he was moved to the Bartholomew County Jail on the following preliminary charges: 

  • Battery on a public safety officer
  • Battery
  • Disorderly conduct
  • Public intoxication
  • Resisting law enforcement.

Hodson was released on a $23,000 bond.
