Man, 68, receives possible skull fracture in hit-and-run

INDIANAPOLIS -- Police are looking for the driver who fled the scene after striking a 68-year-old man on a bicycle Sunday night.

The collision happened shortly before 10 p.m. near the intersection of Southeastern Avenue and Keystone Avenue on the Near Eastside.

According to the incident report, 68-year-old Thomas Williams was riding his bike when an unknown vehicle struck him and then fled the scene.

Williams was taken to Eskenazi Hospital in serious condition with a possible skull fracture and a broken lower right leg.

Hit-and-run investigators responded to the scene and interviewed three witnesses.

A detailed description of the vehicle was not immediately available.
