INDIANAPOLIS -- With an armful of personal items heading into our house, we should feel safe. The last thing we expect is armed robbers to take our stuff.

But it happened in a north side community, and those who live there are on edge.

Adam Bennett was home on the night his neighbor was robbed at gunpoint.

"Thy approached him out here while he was unloading his stuff," Bennett said. "The guy pulled a gun on him -- made him lay face down in the parking lot."

The suspect was joined by three accomplices. Police say the suspects left in a red vehicle that was missing a hubcap.

Hollye Bryson was in her apartment one week after the robbery when somebody broke inside.

"It caused me to feel really violated and afraid," she said.

The suspects stole cash and used her car keys to go through her vehicle. She says she's tired of all the crime.

"There have been some break-ins," she said. "I've seen police vehicles but I've never been notified of any of it."

A manager of the apartment complex said they employ private security, but couldn't say how many officers were present on a given night. They also couldn't say what the company policy is on reporting violent crimes to residents.
