Man arrested in connection with July triple homicide in Indianapolis, charged with robbery

INDIANAPOLIS -- A man wanted in connection with a triple homicide in July has been arrested and charged with robbery. 

Detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrested 18-year-old Devante Gilbert on Wednesday.

The homicides happened Sunday, July 16 in the 7800 block of Somerset Bay around 6 p.m. Police found three men with gunshot wounds inside an apartment. 

They were identified as Dominique Miller, 25, Jordan Wright, 25, and Justin Crowder, 19.

Witnesses report seeing a couple individuals get into a vehicle and flee the area following the shootings.

A couple of days after the shooting, a 15-year-old was arrested and preliminarily charged with murder for the shooting.

Police have not said if Gilbert will face any other charges in connection with the homicides.
