INDIANAPOLIS -- The death of a Ben Davis senior found behind a dumpster on the east side in March has officially been ruled a homicide.
The Marion County Coroner's Office released their findings Thursday, nearly two months after the body of 18-year-old Renia Woods was discovered on the 1400 block of Campbell Avenue.

The coroner's office did not release Woods' manner of death.

Woods' family had reported her missing in the days before her death.
Woods' mother told RTV6 she doesn't understand why someone would do this to her daughter.
"She wouldn't go off without shoes on," she said. "Somebody took her from here. And it's just unimaginable."
Ariel Johnson, a Ben Davis senior and friend of Woods, expressed disbelief in March at the news of her friend's death.
"It's like one minute she's at home and then next minute she's behind a dumpster," Johnson said. "Who in their right mind would do this to someone so beautiful and genuine? She was so sweet, once you got to know her. She didn't mess with anybody, so I don't know who would do this to her. She was just 18. Just a regular teenager."
