INDIANAPOLIS - Indianapolis police are investigating after a body was found behind a business Monday afternoon.
Metro police said the body was found in an empty lot in the 2000 block of Columbia Avenue, on the city's north side.
Police said the body was decomposed and difficult to identify.
The Marion County Coroner's Office said Tuesday that the deceased person was identified as Loy E. Ofsthun, a 56-year-old black woman.
The cause of death was not immediately known.
Homicide detectives were investigating the situation.
