DELAWARE COUNTY, Ind. -- Two people were killed in a two-vehicle crash in Delaware County Thursday evening.

Delaware County Sheriff's Deputies were called to the scene near the intersection of SR 67 and County Road 600 W near Daleville just after 6 p.m.

According to the sheriff's department, a white 2013 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck driven by Scott Richard Chambers, 55, of Pendleton, was westbound on SR 67 when his truck crossed the centerline and collided with an eastbound black 1999 Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by Braxton Lee Patton, 21, of Muncie.

Both drivers died at the scene.

Investigators say they are looking at whether distracted driving/cell phone use and alcohol as possible contributing factors to the crash.
