INDIANAPOLIS - A deputy with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office was arrested on an exploitation charge Thursday afternoon.
Authorities said Deputy David Clemmons was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued by the Marion Superior Court in 2009.
"The warrant was issued for acts or omissions allegedly occurring between 2005 and 2007, and involved an alleged endangered adult," a spokeswoman with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office said.
The warrant listed Clemmons’ incorrect birthday, but further investigation revealed he was wanted by the court.
Clemmons was charged with one felony count of exploitation of an adult dependent, authorities said.
He has been placed on unpaid administrative leave.
