INDIANAPOLIS -- It's a unique take on a fashion show.

Recycled items that are typically used in home decor, like carpet and wall coverings, are turned into one-of-a-kind garments.

That's the premise behind an avant garb fashion show sponsored by the Indiana Chapter of the International Interior Design Association called "Design Colide."

Local interior designers have teamed up with manufacturing firms from across the state to turn a color and personality trait into a one-of-a-kind design

"Whether it's flooring, or wall covering, or ceiling tiles, or laminate samples-- taking obscure materials have you're not used to seeing in a garment," said Char Bennett, Furniture Sales Representative.

The event starts at 6:30 p.m. Friday with a cocktail hour at Crane Bay followed by a runway show.

A collection will also be taken at the show to benefit Girls Inc.
