PERU, Ind. - Police have made an arrest 20 years after a Miami County woman was found dead.

Toni Spicer's body was found in her mobile home in the southern part of Miami County on the morning of Aug. 29, 1992.

DNA was collected at the original scene, but comprehensive testing wasn't available at the time and the case soon went cold.

In 2001, the case was assigned to an Indiana State Police detective, who submitted several items to the State Police Laboratory for DNA examination.

Last year, a DNA match was found, and the man was located in Biloxi, Miss., police said.

After interviewing Timothy J. Jimerson, he was arrested on a preliminary charge of murder.

Jimerson is being held in a Biloxi jail awaiting extradition to Peru.
