Driver flees after pickup truck crashes into home

Vehicle had invalid license plate

INDIANAPOLIS - Police were looking for a driver who fled the scene after a pickup truck went into a home on the city’s west side Wednesday evening.

The incident happened in the 400 block of South Luett Avenue just before 8 p.m.

The driver of the truck came off Washington Street, and for unknown reasons, drove the vehicle into the front side of the home, police said.

Two people were in the home at the time but were not injured.

Police said the driver of the vehicle ran from the scene.

Police said the vehicle had an invalid license plate, but they were not sure if the vehicle was stolen.

Few other details were released.
