INDIANAPOLIS -- One person was hospitalized after crashing a stolen car while fleeing from police early Wednesday morning.
The chase began when an officer with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department noticed a license plate from a stolen gray sedan wanted in connection with a couple of business robberies Tuesday night.
Police say the officer attempted to pull the car over, but the driver took off, leading to a chase of more than 70 mph. The chase ended in the northbound lanes of I-465 near the Sam Jones Expressway.
The officer performed a PIT Manuever, which caused the car to crash against the wall barrier. Police say stop sticks were also used.
The driver was taken to Eskenazi Health.
