Driver's car flips in crash on Indianapolis' northwest side near Township Line Road

Driver hospitalized in critical condition

INDIANAPOLIS - A driver was hospitalized in critical condition early Monday after his car flipped in a crash on the city's northwest side.

Dispatchers said the crash happened about 3 a.m. near 79th Street and Township Line Road when the driver, identified as Abraham Morales, 37, lost control of his car.

Investigators said Morales' car flipped several times before landing on its side against a tree.

Morales was trapped in the car before being rescued by emergency crews and taken to Saint Vincent Hospital, police said.

Detectives said Morales appeared to be impaired at the time of the crash.
