MARION COUNTY, Ind. -- More people have voted early in this election in Marion County than in 2012 or in 2008, according to numbers released Monday by the Marion County Clerk's Office.

In the four weeks of early voting, (including Monday's deadline day) there were 8,717 votes cast in Marion County for the primaries.

In 2012, 4,480 people voted early and in 2008, 8,704 people voted early.
