NOBLESVILLE, Ind. -- A Hamilton County woman is working to use the darkest days of her life to help those battling heroin addiction see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Lacy Giboney is moving forward with plans to open a new recovery center in Noblesville.

She knows how important such places are from her own experience with drugs.

"I used for about four years that I was in active addiction, and during that time, I committed crimes and stole from my family," Giboney said.

In and after prison and treatment, Giboney turned her life around, and found a new mission in the process. She's in the midst of getting the Transformations Center for Healing off the ground in Hamilton County – a holistic and God-centered way to work with the courts and addicts, all to turn the tide.
