INGALLS, Ind. - A former Ingalls street department employee is accused of selling town property and keeping the profits for personal use.
Daniel Kincade has been arrested on theft charges after police said he stole signs, metal water meter parts, batteries and metal parts of equipment to sell as scrap metal.
The Madison County prosecutor filed formal charges against Kincade and another former employee, Duane Hammel, after prosecutors said the men failed to repay $5,239.66 they made.
"There was an arrangement to pay the money back and they didn’t do it," Madison County Prosecutor Rodney Cummings told Call 6 Investigator Kara Kenney.
Hammel had not yet been arrested Tuesday.
