Excise officers cite 53 at Purdue's Grand Prix
Most citations were alcohol-related offenses

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Officers with the Indiana State Excise Police issued 53 tickets during Purdue University’s Grand Prix events over the weekend.
The majority of those ticketed were charged with alcohol-related offenses that included illegal possession or consumption of alcohol and possession of false identification, officials said.
Police said nine adults were charged with furnishing alcohol to minors.
Adam Fulk, 19, was jailed Friday evening when he tried to buy alcohol with a fake ID and then attempted to flee from officers, police said.
Officials said Fulk was taken to the Tippecanoe County Jail on preliminary charges of battery on law enforcement, resisting law enforcement , illegal possession of alcohol and possession of false ID.
One excise officer sustained minor injuries during the incident.
