INDIANAPOLIS -- A video of Carrier executives announcing in February that they are closing their Indianapolis plant and moving the jobs to Mexico has been seen by millions of people.

The video shocked and angered those who watched it, and the woman who recorded says she didn't believe what she was hearing.

"I have a lot of friends at Carrier. You don't want to see anyone hurt," said LaKeisha Austin.

Austin spoke for the first time to RTV6 Tuesday about the February 10 announcement from Carrier execs that she recorded on her cellphone.

"You don't believe it. You are really trying to listen. You want to try to listen, so you can kinda hear what's going on and what they are saying is just unbelievable," said Austin

Other people posted videos online, but hers is the only one seen more than 4 million times.

It sent presidential candidates scrambling to debate the future of manufacturing jobs.

"Carrier is moving not because they are losing money. They want to make more. You walk all over the people that helped where you are, that's not right." said Austin

Before the Carrier decision, Austin was building her business. She says she's learned a lesson from what happened that day: "Do not walk on the people who helped you where you are today. Don't forget where you came from. That's a big deal."
