INDIANAPOLIS – Whether you’re participating in the Indianapolis Half Marathon or not this Saturday, you’ll want to know about several road closures near Fort Harrison State Park so you can find parking easily or avoid the area all together.
Some closures will start as early as 6:45 a.m., but main roads are set to close just after 8 a.m., 30 minutes before start of the event.
The following roads will close Saturday and reopen before noon:
· 56th Street (westbound) from Post Road to Glenn
· 56th Street (westbound) from Glenn to Boy Scout
· Post Road from 56th Street to Otis Avenue
· Post Road from Otis Avenue to 59th Street
· 59th Street from Post Road to Lee Road
· Boy Scout Road from 56th Street to Fall Creek Road
· Lee Road Southbound from 63rd Street to 59th Street
· Lee Road Northbound from 59th to 63rd Street
· Lee Road/71st Street from 63rd Street to Fall Creek Rd.
· Glenn Road North of 56th Street
· Lawton Loop West Drive
· Lawton Loop East Drive
· Kent Avenue
· Otis Avenue West of Lawton Loop East Drive
· Otis Avenue East of Lawton Loop East Drive
· Herbert Lord - Eastbound only at 56th
· Drum - Eastbound only at 56th
· Franklin - Eastbound only at 56th
· Wheeler - Closed at 59th
· Ivy Tech Parking Lots - Closed at 59th
· Sterrett Center Parking Lots - Closed at Post
· Merrill - Closed at Post
