INDIANAPOLIS - An Indianapolis family says they were robbed at gunpoint by two children on the city's west side.
The incident was reported Wednesday in the 5700 block of West 43rd Street as a family was unloading groceries from their van.
"Having a barrel of a gun pointing in your face is nothing to play with," victim Simon Kemp said.
The pair of suspected robbers included a child that appeared to be 8 or 9 years old and a teen holding a rifle. The teen threatened to shoot Kemp, his wife and their two young children if they didn't hand over their belongings. The younger suspect told them to 'hurry up', the family said.
"The young kid said, 'This is taking too long -- we got to move, we got to move,'" Kemp said.
Kemp said he and his wife didn't put up a fight and handed over their wallet, purse and cellphone before the suspects ran away toward the Three Fountains West Apartments.
Police said they incident is under investigation. A description of the suspects was not released.
