INDIANAPOLIS -- A tight-knit Indianapolis family is looking for answers and forgiveness after one of its members was killed last week.

The family of Tre Spencer, 23, better known to them as Tre-Man, say he was a man of love and built on family.

"They shot an innocent person that had nothing to do with anything," Martine Spencer, Tre's grandmother, said.

Tre was one of two people shot in Broad Ripple last week after a disturbance from a nearby business spilled onto Guilford Avenue, near Broad Ripple Avenue. Tre didn't survive the shooting.

Tre's grandmother and cousins are still in mourning.

Wrestling was a big part of Tre's life.

"We were together every day," said D'Marcus Spencer, a family member. "All we did was eat, sleep and breathe wrestling."

He learned to wrestle from his father, a former Pike High School wrestler.

"His father was his world," Martine said.

Tre's family say they forgive whoever shot him. They just want them to turn themselves in.

A suspect has not been named. The other person shot was also taken to Methodist Hospital. He was in serious condition the day after the shooting.
