ZIONSVILLE, Ind. -- Even in pictures, Katherine Giehll's love for her 4-year-old son was obvious.
"She loved animals. And she took care of her son. Stayed at home with him," Giehll's sister-in-law said.
Wednesday morning, Katherine's husband came home to find her and their son dead from gunshot wounds.
Police say the motive in the murders was inheritance money. Giehll's father passed away in 2012. He was a Marion County Sheriff's Deputy.
The prime suspect, Lucius Oliver Hamilton III, was Katie's uncle. He died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in a downtown Indianapolis hotel room.

It was Katie's 31st birthday. Raymond was shot while watching TV.
"Then to hear about my nephew, a child; anybody to do something like that is just mean," the sister-in-law said.
Raymond attended Traders Point Christian Academy on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
"There is no earthly explanation for this but we can trust God even in the midst of this tragedy," a statement from the school said.
"They have done nothing wrong. Nothing wrong," the sister-in-law said.
The family, now left to remember both Katherine and Raymond in pictures.
