Fans: Colts win was an early Christmas present

Colts beat Kansas City Chiefs 20-13

INDIANAPOLIS - Colts fans were ecstatic today after the Colts defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 20-13.

This win was significant because it clinched a spot in the playoffs for the Colts.

The playoffs are still a couple weeks away, but the celebration is already underway around Indianapolis.
Fans packed Blue Crew Sports Grill on the city’s north side to watch the game.

"It feels great because we had an off season last season. Now we're going to the playoffs and nobody can deny the Colts are going to win the Super bowl this year, just like we did a few years back," said a Colts fan at Blue Crew Sports Grill.

This trip to the playoffs will mark the 12th since 1999, and comes on the heels of the team holding last year's embarrassing title for the worst NFL record.

"We went through so much last year. The Colts came back to get to the playoffs. They had a rebuilding year. It's awesome, it really was," said Blue Crew Sports Grill owner Randy Collins.

"We weren't expected to be here. If you would have told me at the beginning of the year that we would be where we are now, (I wouldn’t believe you). It's supposed to be a rebuilding year with 35 new players. It's amazing," said Colts fan Wade Roberts.

The wins leading up to this game ushered the crowds back in.

"We hated that they gave up on them, but it's good to see them back here finally realizing that they can do it," said long-time Colts fan Janet Codd.

Fans and management said it's almost like old times, with a fresh set of horse shoes.

"We're going to have a heck of a party, I'll tell you that. The whole city is going to get pumped up. This is the way it used to be. This was a number 18, but hey, number 12 is awesome," said Collins.
