INDIANAPOLIS - The Indianapolis Motor Speedway geared up Thursday to kick off the first of many events leading up to the Brickyard 400.
Thursday's main event is the Hauler Parade schedule to begin at 5 p.m. on Speedway's Main Street.
Other events planned through Sunday include concerts, autograph sessions, a job fair and practice runs.
Event planners said getting inside the track will be easier than it was during the Indianapolis 500. Many fans complained about the long lines that formed following the new IMS security policy to check coolers and bags.
The IMS security policy won't change, but track officials are adding more staff members to help out with the Brickyard 400.
IMS Spokesman Doug Boles said officials have been revising the track's entrance plans since the Indy 500.
