FBI offering $50k reward for information about officer's death

BARDSTOWN, Ky. - The Kentucky Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation announced today a reward for information in connection with the death of a Bardstown police officer.
The FBI is offering up to $50,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the individuals responsible for the death of Bardstown, Ky., Police Officer Jason Ellis.
The FBI said Ellis was gunned down May 25 in what appeared to be a "carefully planned ambush."
Ellis left behind a wife and two young sons.
The FBI, together with the Kentucky State Police, appeal to anyone who has information to call the FBI at (502) 263-6000 or the Kentucky State Police at (270) 766-5078.
