INDIANAPOLIS - Call 6 Investigator Rafael Sanchez has learned new information about the propane shortage in central Indiana.
Because more people are coming forward with complaints about prices and delivery, federal regulators are pushing to increase propane shipments to the Midwest beginning Feb. 13.
Since Friday, the Indiana Attorney General's consumer hotline has received more than 200 calls from Hoosiers looking for solutions.
Deputy Attorney General Abby Kuzma advised Hoosiers not to hesitate when reporting a propane problem.
"People who are in trouble and fearful of not having enough energy assistance need to get a hold of us. If running out, call us," Kuzma said.
When calling the hotline, be sure to have key pieces of information handy including the name of the supplier and the delivery issue.
For help, call the consumer hotline at 1-800-382-5516.
