INDIANAPOLIS - Former Marion County Deputy Prosecutor David Wyser appeared in federal court Thursday morning on bribery charges, but details of an impending plea deal and who he might testify against won't be released until July.
Wyser, 53, declined to talk to RTV6 as he walked into court Thursday.
Wyser is accused of taking a $2,500 campaign contribution from the father of a convicted killer. In exchange for the contribution, Wyser approved a substantially reduced sentence for the convict, prosecutors said.
Prosecutors said they would not seek to have Wyser held, saying he is not considered a flight risk.
A hearing on his plea agreement and who the government may want him to testify against was also scheduled for Thursday, but it was postponed until July 2.
