Indiana's appeal for federal assistance has been denied, after November storms carved several paths of destruction through the state.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency denied assistance for Boone, Daviess, Fountain, Grant, Howard and Tippecanoe counties.

The state's first request for aid for Howard County was filed Dec. 4 and denied Dec. 11.
Officials filed an appeal and included the other five counties shortly after.
