PLAINFIELD, Ind. -

Firefighters battled an early morning fire in Plainfield that caused nearly $200,000 in damages to a home.

The blaze broke out just before 4:30 a.m. in the 1600 block of Fortner Drive near U.S.  40 and Ronald Reagan Parkway.
