INDIANAPOLIS - A fire extinguisher forced the evacuation of a school bus on Indianapolis' northwest side Wednesday morning.
The Pike Township Schools bus was taking 15 students to the Math & Science Academy at 38th Street and Lafayette Road just before 8 a.m. when the extinguisher came off its mount and busted open.
The bus driver was able to pull over near 62nd Street and Lafayette Road and get the students off the bus.
The students were checked out at the scene and moved to another bus.
