Firefighters battle stubborn apartment fire at Port O' Call complex

WAYNE TOWNSHIP, Ind. - Firefighters in Wayne Township battled a stubborn apartment fire on Indianapolis' west side early Friday.
Crews were called out to the Port O' Call Apartment near Lynhurst Avenue and Rockville Road just before 6 a.m., dispatchers said.
Firefighters said they had to tear through several apartment walls to get to the source of the fire.
One tenant had to escape through a first floor window, officials said.
Ten units were damaged, but no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
