Fishers police concerned for woman's safety

Woman left friend's home agitated early Thursday

FISHERS, Ind. - Fishers police issued a Silver Alert for a woman who was last seen early Thursday morning.

Police said they were concerned about the safety of Peyton Riekhof, 18, even though no foul play is suspected.

Riekhof's friend called police just before 3 a.m. Thursday because Riekhof had become agitated and left his Geist home, police said.

Riekhof was seen on surveillance video getting gas at 2:01 a.m. at the Shell station at 96th Street and Olio Road.

She's driving her 2006 black Mercury Mariner SUV with Indiana license plate SGC405. The plate has a University of Kansas frame and there is a Jayhawks sticker on the rear window of the vehicle.

Riekhof is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds, and she has blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink tank top and black yoga pants.

Police hope the Silver Alert will reach residents and commuters throughout the entire state.

A vigil was held in Fishers at Holy Spirit Geist on Saturday evening at 9:30 p.m.
