RUSHVILLE, Ind. - A former police officer who worked with Rushville Community Schools has pleaded guilty to having an inappropriate relationship with a teenage girl.

Cale Worley, 28, of Rushville, pleaded guilty Wednesday to official misconduct and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Worley, who worked as a DARE officer with the district, resigned from the department in August 2012 when state police began investigating his communications with a 15-year-old girl.

Investigators said Worley met with the girl after hours and communicated through text messages and on Facebook, talking about the girl's sex life and other topics.

In addition to his plea, Worley's credentials and certifications to be a police officer and EMT have been revoked in the state of Indiana.
