Franklin Police warn of gas pump scanning device

A credit card scanning device was found at the Circle K Shell gas station, located at 2105 E. King St. in Franklin on Monday. 

According to a press release from the Franklin Police Department, the pump was likely not checked within 24 hours of the device being found. 

Although only one device was found, they said anyone who has purchased gas in Johnson County recently should check their credit card statements.

Police are looking at surveillance video to identify a suspect.
